    @Jack I recommend looking around the /leangains subreddit for useful information. Filter by Top - All/Year to find some great information to delve into and refer back to.

    Overall, a 500 calories deficit per day is safe, and a pretty standard way to do a cut. I say just cut down until you're at ~12% (posting pictures on here as you go), then go for a lean bulk.
